Setting up ConfigPPP and MacTCP on your Macintosh computer |

Click on the apple from
the menu bar and select “Control Panels”. From “Control Panels”, select “ConfigPPP”. |

Click on the
“New...” button |

Type in
jamadots
in the box provided and click
“OK”. |

Now, click on the “Config…” button |
|
|

|
Select the fastest port speed for you modem. Most 14.4k modems should use
19200. 28.8k modems should use57600 or higher. Set the flow control to
CTS+RTS. Select Tone Dial. Type in the local dial up telephone number in
the box provided. The local dial-up number is provided to you when you
sign up with jamadots. We have local numbers for all of the areas we
serve. |

Click the “Authentication…” button. |

Type in the user name and password. Click “OK” when done |
|

Click on
the apple from
the menu bar and select “Control Panels”. From Control Panels, select “MacTCP”.
When the MacTCP window opens, click on “PPP”
as shown. While PPP is highlighted, click the “More...”
button. |

|
|
Enter the
Domain, IP Addresses and other parameters as shown below. Click
“OK” when you are done. |
